paying bills

My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 1/2 years. He has shared custody and has them for half the week at his mothers house. He pays for a utility bill and his own food. He also lives with me for half the week. He pays for most of the food and toiletries, so is it wrong for me to ask him to pay for at least one of my utility bills?

I think since you're paying all the rent, it wouldn't be unreasonable to pay for a utility bill.

yeah, of course you can ask him. just add up what you're each paying to support the family and make sure it's as equal as is humanly possible. that doesn't sound unfair. in fact it sounds like the fucking definition of fair, no?

just be reasonable about it and i don't see how he could refuse. unless he's got some kind of problem.
