I am very pale but I don't like to go tanning .All my friends go tanning .One friend keeps making rude comments about pale people making fun of them pretty much. I don't want to go tanning I'd rather be pale then go tanning .I tried the spray tan a few years back it looked OK but the smell was nasty .I am kinda young looking for my age and want to stay that way .I hear tanning causes premature aging . The friend who makes rude comments bugs me .What could I do when she makes a big deal when someone is pale ?

The tanning beds cause premature aging, but not the self-tanning sprays. I think your friend is very superficial to be so focused on tans. Think of all the beautiful, pale actresses. They embrace their pale skin instead of hide it. I think pale skin looks gorgeous with reddish lipstick (elegant like in 1940s).

Maybe you could say the pale person is happy with who they are instead of trying to change race.

seriously, just try to blow her off and not let it bug you. she clearly has some wacky insecurities, and you can't let people like that get to you.
