my life is fucked! |

Im eighteen got no job no car and I dropped out of school. I live in michigan but staying in ohio with my uncle to help him with his kids for about a month. just a few minutes ago i got a message from my room mate pretty much saying im not going to have a home to come back to. my sister said i could move in with her but there is so much drama because my mom is always over there and she is a pill poppin' theivin' piece of shit and i cant stand her. my uncle suggested i just stay with him and he could help me get my life on track. and its what i really want but he wants me to stop smoking weed which i might be able to handle but im not sure, the only down side is that his wife is very dumb and ignorant which i cant stand dumb ignorant people. i know most people would tell me to deal with it but im not so sure i can take her in anything but small doses not only that but they are having a hard enough time taking care of themselves. I really want to get a job but have no social security card, no ID, all I have is a birth certificate, and because this world is so messed up it is really hard to get the things i need to get. Please im not just asking for help im begging for help ~Josh~ |

marinemj:stay with your uncle and get your ged. go to the social security office with your birth certificate and see what you have to do to get a new card. and go get a state issued id at the dmv- even if you don't have a license, they can issue you an id. suck it up and deal with your aunt. and quit smoking pot. it wil lhelp clear your head.

Inah:
First off, find a social security office and get a replacement social security card. You can use this website to find a social security office in your region and get instructions on how to get a new card: http://www.ssa.gov/ Once you've got your social security card work on getting a state ID.
As far as the pot goes I think it's your right to smoke IF you can provide for yourself. However, until you have a job you can't afford to be dropping money on weed because it truly is a luxury. So make a budget, cover your bases and pay off any debts you have. Also, if you stay in someone's home you follow their rules. That goes for apartments too.
You say you quit school. You won't get far without a diploma so you really need to enroll in GED classes.
One option is to stay with your uncle. You can't stand the wife but if you enroll in GED courses, work on getting your identification documents, and get a job you won't have time to see her.
There are other options out there for young people. You could do Job Corps which not only helps you prepare for a career but also helps you get on your feet. http://www.jobcorps.gov/home.aspx
