Is this vertigo?

I started to notice that I feel a bit woozy around giant statues ( such as the statue of liberty) it isn't just being around them , it is also if I see a picture of a giant statue I gag and get wobbly in the knees.

I was hanging around some of my friends and we were looking at pictures of a certain statue on a TV show and I got really woozy, hot in the face, and I felt like I was going to faint. I tested it out to see if I felt the same way looking at pictures of giant buildings and boats also, and sure enough I felt sick... I don't really know who I should go to for that problem., I am thinking it has something to do with vertigo maybe?, as I am afraid of heights, but I didn't know that even pictures make me feel weird too.

Do I go to a regular doctor for this? Is that a common Phobia? Can it be cured?

I heard when some people see an unpleasant image, their brain sends a signal to their body, and they get dizzy. I get this way whenever I see blood.

We don't know if it can be cured but we think it is a good idea to not ignore it - you don't want to have to walk around with your eyes closed for the rest of your life. You might want to call a specialist in the area of phobias and ask whether this is a common malady and what the course of treatment would be. Most phobias are treatable with the right methods. If you can't afford treatment you can do it yourself. Force yourself to look at the pictures of the things making you so woozy until you finally are okay looking at them. It may take some time. Once you are okay looking at the pictures then go to an actual building or statue or boat that makes you woozy and just spend time looking at it till eventually you get over your feelings of vertigo again. Then go inside the building, statue, etc. Over time your phobias will get to be less if not gone entirely. Doing this with a therapist is easier, however, since they are there with you and will help you through the experience.
