ignorant friend

I have an ignorant friend who doesn't know much about women. He told me this story how in the war, one side would infect prostitutes with gonorrhea so the opposing side would catch it. He said the women had this green stuff inside them. What he doesn't realize is bacterial vaginosis is a common bacteria infection women face, but it's not an STD like gonorrhea. It's just a bacteria imbalance in body. I didn't say anything, but should I have said something to educate him? I guess he'll think anyone with bacteria vaginosis has gonorrhea.

anyone with green stuff in her vagina needs to see a doctor. it might just be bv, but that's not totally harmless.

so the question is whether you should ahve pointed out to your friend that a green discharge can be caused by something other than gonorrhea? sure, that would be fine to say in the course of the conversation. but brining it up now would just be weird.
