i owe some money to the bank.they reported my name to the chexsystem.its already been 8 year .i would like to know if iam able to open a new account.please give me some advise.

you don't. chexsystems is kind of like a credit report between banks. if you owe them money, you will stay on there until you pay it back. and i don't know about now, but when i worked at a bank 10 years ago opening accounts, if anyone had a report on chexsystems, we denied them a checking account, regardless of the age of the report. you can probably still get a savings account, though (but without an atm card).
