I was asked by my friend if I think her boyfriend will marry her because they had a baby .The reason she asked this is my Brother married my sis in law after they had thier 1st baby my brother wasnt planning on marrying her but the baby changed all that . Also another friend of mine married his girlfriend after they had the baby but it didnt last . I am not sure what to tell her .

getting married because they have a baby together is silly... However, It would be my opinion that your friend should not be talking to you or us about this, but should have an open and honest dialog with her fella about where they stand and what their future plans are... He is the only one to answer that.

If marriage is what she wants And they already have a child she must be assertive, Tell the dude what she wants and hope that he is on the same page. Waiting for him to get off his ass and ask her is not only silly and outdated but will get nothing done... a guy will often try and stay unmarried in these situations for whatever reason... why buy the cow when you get the sex for free? ya know :p

The marriage is always doomed if the man feels trapped into marriage. If your friend already has a baby, he may feel no hurry. If your friend thinks getting pregnant will light a fire under his butt, she may be surprised when she gets a firecracker instead and it sends him shooting off in all directions, never to be seen again.

tell her maybe he will, maybe he won't, but if he does, and it's just because of the baby, it won't work. and then she'll be left with a child. getting pregnant to get someone to marry you is a terrible, terrible, terrible idea, and onyone whi thinks different is an ass-reaming moron.
