dad eats ice cream from carton

I have noticed my dad eating ice cream cream directly from the carton. Then he puts it back in the freezer! For that reason, I do not eat ice cream from the freezer unless I am the first one to open it. I saw him doing this last night. I was hoping the carton of ice cream was almost gone so he was just going to throw it away. But again, he put it back in the freezer. He does not see himself as having germs. If mentioned that, he would get offended and say something like "You think I have germs?" He does not see how it is a disgusting habit. Do I warn my mom not to eat the carton of ice cream?

my husband does the same thing, so chances are, your mom knows and just doesn't care. when you've been married for a long time, sharing spit doesn't have the gross out factor that it might to someone else. my daughter opts to have her own carton of ice cream and her dad agreed not to eat out of it...problem solved.
